Exciting news. If you didn't know already, Nintendo has announced the Nintendo 3DS at E3 2010. Utilizing two top screens, one behind the other, it achieves real 3D graphics, and you don't need special glasses. The top screen is 3D, however, the touch screen on the bottom isn't. It also features an analog slider above the plus pad. You can also adjust the 3D and turn it off, (Children under six years should play only in 2D mode, according to Nintendo.) with the slider on the right side of the system. Also, a very welcome feature, there's a Home button. Pressing it will pause the game you're playing automatically and return you to the home menu. So you can be playing a game go online for a walkthrough for the level, find it on the returning feature from the DSi, and then return to the game where you left off. Starting out, there will be an Aqua Blue version and a Cosmo Black version. Everything comes with a price though. This one's 250 dollars. However, it comes with some built in games. It has great graphics. Way better than the DSi. There is a 3D camera. It also has better sound recorders. You can also take a picture of your face, and the AI will turn it into a Mii that looks a lot like you. With Face Raiders, take a picture of your face and it will turn you into bad guys in a 3D shooter. The 3DS comes with six augmented reality cards. Y, ou can play a game with them that plays out on your own tabletop! The 3DS acts as a pedometer. While walking, you earn Play Coins, which you can spend in some games. There is also an online Virtual Console for Game Boy, Game Boy Color, and Game Boy Advanced games. (They are not 3D though.) It's also easier to connect to the Internet and other players now with SpotPass and StreetPass.Once you boil it down though, all that matters is the games. Some of the launch window games include Steel Diver, Asphalt 3D, Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars, Ridge Racer 3D, Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Shadow Wars, Pilotwings Resort, Rayman 3D, Combat of Giants: Dinosaurs 3D, Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 3D, Driver Renegade, James Noir's Hollywood Crimes, Super Monkey Ball 3D, Dream trigger 3D, nintendogs+cats, Rabbids Travel in Time, The Sims 3, Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell 3D, Bust-a-Move Universe, Madden NFL Football, and Dead or Alive Dimensions. More games are coming after the spring, too! They should cost around 40 dollars each. The wait for the 3DS's March 27th release is killing me, and hopefully I'll get it this month. Bye for now!
